Alice Johnson Smith

Mrs. Alice Johnson-Smith was born on February 3, 1947 in Harnett County, North Carolina to the late Ms. Willie C. Johnson and Mr. James McLean. She departed this life at the UNC Hospital, Chapel Hill, North Carolina on Sunday, December 3, 2017.
Alice attended Harnett County Public Schools and graduated Harnett High School, Class of 1965. Alice received the Lord as her Savior and joined the Coats Church of God of Prophecy under the leadership of Bishop Frank and First Lady Willa Taylor. She was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson, Bryson McKoy, and a brother, Robert "Boy" Johnson. Alice was employed at Erwin Mills and Morganite, Incorporated. After retirement, she spent her time cooking, riding up and down the road with friends and family attending every "Gospel Singing" that she could. Her favorite song was, "I JUST WANT TO BE RIGHT."
Alice leaves to cherish her memory: one daughter, Ms. Sharon McKoy; three grandsons, Devin McKoy, Courtney McKoy and Casey McKoy; two brothers, Mr. James T. Johnson and Mr. Michael A. Johnson; four sisters, Mrs. Annie J. McNair, Mrs. Barbara J. Johnson-Bayless (John), Ms. Jennifer Johnson and Mrs. Emily Grady; two uncles, Mr. Elmer Harris (Mary), Mr. John Harris and Mr. Kenneth W. Smith; three aunts, Mrs. Lula Atkins, Mrs. Mary L. Williams, Mrs. Ella P. Harris; two great aunts, Mrs. Annie Lee Johnson and Ms. Bessie Smith, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
