Our beloved queen, Alisia Maria Flonard was born on June 16, 1972 to parents Amanda Rose & Raymond Flonard in Queens, New York. Growing up in St. Albans Queens, Alisia was definitely the light in many peoples lives. As a young teen she was the life of the party and popular amongst many. She gained the name Lyte as she was full of it, she knew how to shine just enough for us to see in our darkest days.
Alisia attended Andrew Jackson, worked as a M.A at Astramed Physician, along with being a supervisor at the Gap for many years. She was the youngest of seven siblings. Additionally, she was a mother, a mother to six children, Lance Flonard, Mercedes Flonard, Tajee Jackson, Reà l Love Flonard, Luis Flonard, Amanda Flonard. Along with this, a grandmother to Alexia Johnson, Kyree Spencer, Christopher Flonard, Lauren Flonard & Braelyn Curtis.
Our queen gained her wings on November 21, 2021. This was all so sudden to us all and heartbreaking. However, she was indeed a warrior, breast cancer fighter and a dedicated mother, grandmother, and O.G. Alisia was well loved and a energy like hers is unforeseen. Always the life of the party, she was fun, outspoken, creative, and loved her music as well as her t.v shows.
She wasn't just loved by her family but her friends too. She would give you her last, open her home to those in need, no questions asked, no matter the circumstances. Furthermore, she forgave everyone! Her heart was filled of so much love for so much more than herself and children. Thinking back, she always stated that, " it's not a real friendship if you weren't ever at odds with a individual and managed to work through your differences."
Alisia is survived by her father, siblings, children and grandchildren. As we think back on her love and beautiful smile, let's celebrate her life! "As water reflects the face, so one's life reflects the heart."
