“For if we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the
Lord. So then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the
Lord’s.”~Romans 14:8
May his Memory be Eternal. It is with immense sadness that we announce
the passing of our beloved Andreas Peter Handrinos, who joined the
Lord in eternal salvation on Sunday, April 21, 2024, at the young age
of 38. Andreas was born on June 26, 1985, in Astoria, New York, and
his short life was full and well-traveled. From New York City to
Florida, and back to New York, Oneonta, the Bronx, to finally land
back with his family in Durham, North Carolina.
Andreas will join his father, Panagiotis Handrinos and grandparents,
Charles (Alvin) Meadows, Anastasios Handrinos, and Eleni Handrinos.
Left to cherish Andreas’ precious memories include his mother, Terri
Anna Romberger; stepfather, James Romberger; sister, Maria P Mills and
brother-in-law, Seth R Mills; sister, Eleni Handrinos; brothers,
George Romberger and Anastasios Handrinos; and grandmother, Judith
Walls. He also leaves behind his niece, Zoe Anne Mills and nephew,
Peter Richard Mills, who adored their “Uncle Dre” and spent quality
time by reading, playing games, and cooking (always cooking). His dear
Godparents, Illias and Maria Tomazos, many cousins, aunts, and uncles
here and in Greece are included in those that mourn his passing.
Upon meeting Andreas, or "Dre", as he was known by everyone, you were
immediately greeted by his piercing blue eyes. He was a kind and
generous soul, whose absence will leave a permanent void in his
surviving family. His faithful canine, Togo, will be looking for him
always.
