Andrew Judson Sanders

On Monday May 29, 2017 Andrew aka "Big Ricky" peacefully transitioned from labor to rest at UNC Hospital.
Andrew was born to the late Andrew J. and Lillie B. Sanders on July 3, 1948. He was raised and educated in Raleigh, NC and Served in the US Army as a weapons specialist. He made his career as a professional carpet and flooring installer. Big Ricky loved fast cars which were always kept clean along with a nice outfit and shiny shoes. He loved his family and enjoyed himself some Red Foxx and Benny Hill.
He was preceded in death by his son Ricky L. Sanders Sr. and his brother Allen Joe Sanders.
He is survived by his daughters Racquel Sanders and Andrena Hackey of Raleigh, NC; grand children Ivana, Reginald aka RJ, Lil Ricky, Deja, Mesha, D'Angelo, DuRonn, DaeVonn and Moesha; Three brothers Carlton "Carl Lee"(Beverly), Kenneth "Squirrel" (Marcella), L. Earl; one uncle Carter Atkinson of Clayton; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
