Annette Bryant Clark was born on January 24, 1940
to the late Willie Norman Bryant, Sr. and Penina Campbell Bryant in Wayne
County, N.C. She departed this life on Thursday, September 22, 2022. She was
preceded in death by her husband James Clark, two brothers Jerome and Thomas
Sherill, three sisters Louise, Patty Sue, Wands Fate, Vivian Shepherd, and three
brothers-in-law: Willie Carpenter, Sr., Danny Ray Carpenter, and Bennie Dudley.
Annette was a hard worker at a young age and her favorite saying was "I
am the oldest." After high school, she moved to New York and worked for some
years, and returned home where she would eventually pursue her career at IBM
and other electronic jobs. She met and married James Clark. While James and
Annette did not have any children of their own, they filled the voice by providing
unconditional love and guidance to all of their nieces and nephews whom they
loved dearly. Annette had an infectious personality and enjoyed spending time
with family and friends. All her nieces and nephews would agree she made
everyone feel special and important.
Annette leaves to cherish her memory her six siblings: Mary Dudley,
LaVern Reid (Curtis), Jean Carpenter, Willie N. Bryant, Jonnie Belle Bryant,
Dwight Bryant (Adell), two sisters-in-love Regina Foye and Merrion Bryant, and a
host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Her two special friends that she spent time with after retiring were
Minnie and Joyce and their favorite place to eat was at Grandsons. Her words for
everyone were "THANK YOU JESUS!"
