Our Loved One Will Always be Part of Us
"Remember not my fight for breath, Remember not the strife. Please do not dwell upon my death, but celebrate my life."
Ms. Annie Marie Hinton was born on April 17, 1938, in Wake Forrest, NC, to the late Mr. Thomas Hinton and the late Mrs. Mattie Susie Hinton. She would go on to attend the Johnston County Public School System and had various jobs throughout her life. But it was her time as a skilled laborer for Atkinson Milling Company where her level of dedication and loyalty were exemplified. She worked there until she was no longer physically able to do so. She was there for so long that no one has a recollection of exactly how many years of service she gave. Put it this way her employee number was 101.
This beautiful soul accepted Christ as her personal savior and attended New Disciples classes at White Oak Hill Missionary Baptist Church alongside her daughter, Julia. She lived a life full of the fruits of the spirit and spread her kindness everywhere she went. She had a love for nature and if you've ever visited her home you saw her love in full bloom all throughout her yard and home.
In addition to her parents and siblings, Rosa Lee Hinton, Gertrude O'Neal, Hattie Godwin, Leroy Hinton, James Thomas Hinton, and Harvey Hinton, Annie was preceded in death by four children, Bobby Wayne Hinton (1975), Alice Jean Richardson (2003), Barbara Ann Scarboro (2004), and Julia Ann Banks (2012). Annie leaves to cherish the memories of her life her four remaining children: Roy C. Hinton (Alice) of Newton Grove, NC, Gregory B. Hinton of Middlesex, NC, Roy L. Hinton of Middlesex, NC and Albert J. Hinton (Teresa) of Fayetteville, NC. She also leaves two brothers, Charles Hinton and Billy Ray Hinton and one sister, Lucy Hinton all of Middlesex, NC; 15 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren; a host of family, friends and loved ones.
