Mrs. Annie Vinson Williams, 74, entered into eternal rest on January
27, 2018 peacefully at Smithfield Manor Nursing Facility surrounded by
her devoted husband and family members.
Annie was born on April 29, 1943 in Johnston County to the late
Ernest and Lydia Watson Vinson. She graduated from Richard B.
Harrison High School, Class Of 1965. Annie met and married the love
of her life, Elder Dan Williams, Jr and two children, Martina and Ricky
were born to this union.
Annie was respected for wisdom and knowledge and she was well
read, especially the Bible. Many considered her to be honest and frank
and "said what she meant and meant what she said." Annie and her
husband were faithful disciples of Purpose and Power Outreach
Ministries under the leadership of Senior Pastor Manuel Williams and
Pastor Sandra Williams. She was a Church Mother and praiser who
danced like David danced. Her favorite song was On The Wings Of
Faith by the Mighty Clouds Of Joy.
Annie is preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Bishop
Orabelle Ellis, and two brothers, Roosevelt Vinson and Julius Vinson.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her husband of over 50 years,
Elder Dan Williams; her daughter, Martina Williams of the home; her
son, Ricky Williams of Smithfield, NC; two sisters, Georgianna Oneal of
Smithfield, NC and Mary Magalene Williams of Greensboro, NC; three
grandchildren, Damion Williams of Colorado Springs, CO, Katrella
Manning of Fayetteville, NC and Christopher Williams of the home; a
great-grandchild, Jayda Williams of Colorado Springs, CO; a host of
nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
