Antonio "Butter" Legardy died peacefully at home on May 28th, 2017 in Selma, NC at the age of 65. Tony was born on February 23, 1952 in Los Angeles, California to Harold and Amada Legardy. He attended Los Angeles County Schools and graduated from Centennial High School in 1970. Tony spent several years developing various culinary skills in California before moving to North Carolina. After relocating, Tony began working for Waffle House where he was a certified Master Grill Operator. Tony spent many years making people happy with his food before retiring due to health reasons. He was very passionate about family loyalty and his wife and children will always remember him as a nurturing man what encouraged them to always support one another.
Antonio is survived by his wife, Vanessa Legardy of Selma, NC; three children, Tony Legardy (Keisha) of Selma, NC, Alma Legardy (Linda) of Smithfield, NC, and Marcus Legardy of Smithfield, NC; one grandchild, Danita Legardy of ; one brother, Harold Legardy, Jr. (Tonya) of Charlotte, NC; a special best friend, Patrick "Scooby" Foye of Selma, NC; and a host of family and friends.
