Mr. Billy Ray McDougald, Jr. was born August 15, 1973 in Johnston County, to Mr. Billy Ray McDougald, Sr. and Minister Thelma Jean Williams. He departed this life on April 10, 2014 in Smithfield surrounded by his family.
Billy received his education in the Johnston County School system where he graduated from Johnston Community College in 1993. Also he graduated from Monroe College in Bronx, NY where he received an Associate Degree in Medical Administration in 2005. Billy accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior. He was a member of Mt. Sinai United Holy Church in Pine Level, North Carolina.
Billy's passion was playing the drums, photography and writing music. Billy loved to be around family and friends.
He leaves cherish his loving and precious memories with his mother Minister Thelma J. Williams of Selma, NC and his father Billy Ray McDougald, Sr., of Bronx, NY; his children: Diamond McDougald and Ashanlie Bender of Bronx, NY and one grandson: Jayden Bender; two sisters: Genera (Kermit Corprew) his (Brother-in-law) of Princeton, NC and Valeria Strickland of Middlesex, NC; Aunts: Ethel (Norman) Sims of Sims, NC, Faye (John) Lucas of Raleigh, NC, Neicole Gear McDougald of Wilson, NC, Ruby McDougald of Bronx, NY, Ruth (Lester) Lewis of Selma, NC, Shirley Walker, Bertha Allen both of Smithfield, NC, Luzetta Vaughn of Goldsboro, NC, Joann Allen of Spring Lake, NC and Gwen Allen of Charlotte, NC; Uncles: Keith (Evelyn) of Bronx, NY, Johnny McDougald, James McDougald and Donnell Holder all of Kenly, NC, Thomas Allen of Augusta, GA, and Willie Jackson of Selma, NC. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
