Clarence Wilbert Pittman was born on March 23, 1941 to the late James Lee Pittman and Eleanor Ford Pittman. He departed this life on May 1, 2018 at the Brian Center in Clayton, North Carolina. He was preceded in death by son Barry Pittman; sister, Earleane Pittman Jackson; brothers, James, Frank, and Dallas Pittman.
Clarence was educated in Nash and Johnston County. He was employed 20 plus years with the NC State Agriculture Farm and finished his career with James Barbour Landscaping. Clarence enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and he was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the North Carolina State Wolfpack.
Left to cherish his memories are his children, Stevie Strickland (Mia); Stephanie Strickland; Clarence Pittman (Sandra), Tory Orr, Marian Griffis, Jeanine Pittman. One brother, George T. Pittman of Garner, North Carolina; and sister-in-law, Barbara Pittman, Raleigh, North Carolina. Five grandchildren, Kiara, Tomicko, Dasia, Jayson, and Harmony, and three great-grandchildren, Kya, Kayden, and Brielle; one god-daughter, Latoya Merritt; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. A special thanks to our mother Madie Strickland for her endless love and support, it did not go unnoticed.
