Corrina Louise Cooley Foye was born November 19, 1930 in Johnston County to the late Augustus Cooley and Rena Mae (Boldin) Cooley. She departed this life on February 13, 2021 at Johnston Health Hospital in Smithfield, North Carolina.
She was united in marriage to the late Elton Lee Foye on December 1, 1949. To this union six children were born. One son, Sherwood Foye preceded her in death.
She was a lifelong member of the Red Hill United Church of Christ where she served as a member of the Senior Choir and Pastor's Aide Committee until her health declined. She loved the Lord. Her moto was "I dare you to trust him".
After retiring from Champion Products she enjoyed cooking for her family, sewing and working in her yard. Her greatest pride and joy came from taking care of her grand and great grandchildren all of which she had her own special name. She was affectionately known as Mama, Granny, Grandma and Nana.
She was preceded in death by her siblings: Joe, Vann, AC, OZ, William Perry, Erdine, Dorothy, Martha Mae and George.
She leaves to cherish her memories: Two daughters and one step daughter Wendy Rowland (Jamie) of Four Oakes, NC, Portia Lynch (Rickie) of Clayton, NC and Rosa Mae Britt of Kansas; three sons: Edward Foye (Geraldine) of Raleigh, NC, Linwood Foye (Patricia) of Clayton, NC and Elvin Foye of Little River, SC; Sixteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren; one sister: Rena Lee Cooley, Wendell, NC and two brothers Charles Cooley, Clayton, NC and Bobby Cooley (Francis) Wendell, NC; two special ladies in her life Ethel Louise Cooley Bonaparte and Keturah Foye and an abundance of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.
