The Obituary

Craig Groves, the son of the late Ruby Groves and Johnny Johnson was born on June 6, 1965 in Johnston County, NC. He departed this earthly life to eternal rest on November 26, 2019, at the home of his brother in Raleigh, NC.

Craig was educated in the Johnston County school system and worked in the Johnston County area until he moved to Minnesota.

Craig was well known in the Johnston County area. He was a sweet, quiet and kind person. He will truly be missed by his family and friends.

He leaves to cherish his memories his father Johnny Johnson of New York, his son Craig Groves Jr of Raleigh, NC, one brother Manuel Johnson (Thelma) of Parkton, NC, 8 aunts: Margaret Woodard (Charles), Anna Smith, Joyce Session (Donzell) of Smithfield, NC, Joyce Lopp of Lexington, NC, Everline Johnson of Raeford, NC, Debra Pettiway (John) of Selma, NC, Margaret Bethea (Henry) of Red Springs, NC and Annie Hayes of Virginia, 3 uncles: Conrad Groves (Linda), Ricky Groves and Fontell Groves of Smithfield, NC, 1 special friend Rebecca Groves of Minnesota, a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
