David Lee Lassiter fondly known as "Killer" was born on May 2nd, 1957 to the late Donnell Hines and the late Thelma Lassiter in Smitheld, NC. He transitioned on December 11th, 2022. He attended Smitheld Selma High School and received his high school diploma in 1976. His places of employment were Johnston Memorial Hospital, Magic Tunnel Car Wash, and RL Sanders Funeral Home. He was a die-hard fan of UNC Tarheels, the NY Knicks, and e Dallas Cowboys. He acquired his nickname Killer because he truly loved and protected his family and was a keeper to his brother Scott. David was a faithful member of St. Peter's Church of Christ Disciples of Christ under the leadership of Bishop Richard Johnson. He was a known prayer warrior, praiser, and worshiper. He was a God-fearing, humble, and loyal man of God. His favorite song was "God is still in charge". David was preceded in death by his sister Louise Everette. He is survived by his son, Kadeem Lassiter of Smitheld. Brother, Charles "Scott" Lassiter (Elder Lisa) of Clayton, and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
