Mrs. Dosie Ann Battle, 57, died on Friday, April 18, 2014 at her home in Smithfield, NC

On Friday, April 18, 2014, Dosie Ann Battle departed this life in Smithfield, North Carolina. She was born in Rocky Mount, NC, on April 7, 1957, to Annie Bell Burrows and the late Orange Moore. She leaves behind her husband, David Allen "Al" Battle.
She enjoyed music, cooking, animals, and above all else, she opened her heart and her home to friends and family in her community. Simply put, Dosie Ann Battle loved people and any opportunity to help those in need.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her children: Cortney( Tomeka) Moore, of Selma, NC; David Moore, of Winston-Salem, NC; and Tony Moore, Lakeshia Moore, and the late Jerry Moore, all of Smithfield, NC. And six sisters: Betty Jean Burrows, Glenda Moore, and Angie Moore, all of Maryland; Annette Moore, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and Mary Jane Moore and the late Geraldine King, both of Rocky Mount, NC. And seven brothers: Jerry Moore, of Greenville, NC; Earl Moore, of Philadelphia, PA; Allen Moore, of Baltimore, Maryland; Michael Moore, of Smithfield, NC; and Kenny Moore, Orange Moore, and the late Benjamin Moore, all of Rocky Mount, NC.
Dosie's legacy continues through her grandchildren: Antonio Dunston, Johntazia McKoy, Jaekwon Battle, Janiece Barton, Erik Vinson, Jr., and Octaevius Bunn. She leaves precious memories with a countless number of family and friends who will rejoice in her home going.
