Ms. Edna Street, 88 of 703 W. Preston St. Selma passed away on Tuesday December 14, 2010 at Johnston Medical Center in Smithfield NC.
She was the daughter of the late Julis and Floria Stokes.Those left to cherish her memories include two daughters: Flora (James) Street Brundage and Margaret Street Blake both of Selma, NC; one son: Alonzo Street (Estella) of Tarboro, NC ; two sister in-laws: Cleo Richardson of Brooklyn, NY and Edwina Cotton-Street of Selma, NC; four grandchildren: Ernest (Joy) Street of Tampa, FL, Joy Brundage of Durham, NC, Sabra Street of Silver Springs, MD, and Ursula (James Sr.) Lewis of Mount Holly, NC; four great grandchildren: Chanel and Tyrell Street of Tampa, FL and James Jr. and Jamila Lewis of Mount Holly, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, as well as special friends: Decarius Davis, Wilbur Richardson, Willie Neal, and Laura Turner all of Selma, NC.

She was preceded in her passing by her husband of sixty-eight years, Harold Street; one sister, Eliza O'Neal of Selma; and one brother, Julius Stokes of Washington, DC.
Funeral services will be held Saturday December 18, 2010 at 11AM at St. John A.M.E Church in Selma NC. There will be a walk-in on Friday from 3PM to 8PM at the funeral home.
