Elie Nash was born on August 25, 1935 in Port Gibson, Mississippi to the late Clara Bell Wright and Lewis Nash of Port Gibson, Mississippi.
Elie attended the Catholic School in Port Gibson, MS. He worked as a long distance truck driver and eventually established his own E&R Trucking Company. Elie retired after his health failed him from truck driving after 56 years.
Elie met and married Rose Marie Lee (Diamond) of Smithfield, NC. They were married a blessed 54 years and 6 months.
Elie leaves to cherish precious memories: his loving and devoted wife, Rose (Diamond) Nash of Smithfield, NC; one brother, Willie Nash of Florida; one sister, Sadie Appleton of Mississippi; two nieces (goddaughters), Stequila Lee of Philadelphia, PA and Danielle Lee-Bowman of Lubbock, TX; one nephew (godson) Dwayne Lee of Phila-delphia, PA; one aunt, Annie V. Manning (Sweetie) of Smithfield, NC and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
