Elizabeth Simms Harris

Mrs. Elizabeth Simms-Harris...affectionately known as Aunt Lizzie went
into eternal rest on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at 10:07 pm. Aunt
Lizzie was the daughter of the late Major and Viola Warren-Simms.
Aunt Lizzie was the 6th child out of 10 children.
Aunt Lizzie attended Richard B. Harrison High School in Selma, NC. At
a young age, Aunt Lizzie accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior and
as she grew in the knowledge of God's Word she became a minister of the
Gospel. She attended United Love Holiness Church (427 Revell Road,
Selma, North Carolina) where Bishop Daniel Williams is pastor.
Aunt Lizzie loved being around family. She often prayed for them and
would always say..."I sure do love you!" She especially loved and cared for
her nieces and nephews, but all knew who her favorite was...Rufus!!!!! Her
second favorite was her niece Valencia (also known as Val); Valencia was
an excellent caregiver to Aunt Lizzie.
While living in Maryland, Aunt Lizzie worshipped at New Deliverance
Church Of God under the leadership of Dr. Jerry Wallace.
Aunt Lizzie, you are at peace now and we believe you would tell us not to
cry and not to worry because if you could see what I see and hear what
I hear...you would be happy for me.
Elizabeth Simms-Harris leaves to cherish her memory: Josephine
Simms-Wilkerson and Joyce Simms-Cooper, her sisters both from
Baltimore, MD; a host of nieces and nephews from Baltimore, New
Jersey, North Carolina, Philadelphia, California, Detroit and South
Carolina and a friend she loved like a nephew, K.P. Williams of
Garner, NC.
