Felix Allen

August 27, 1951 — September 9, 2016

Llewellyn Felix Allen was born on August 27, 1951 to Willis Allen, Jr. (Deceased) and Lettie M. Allen in Smithfield NC. He departed his life on September 9, 2016.
Felix spent his earlier life growing up on Seventh Street and later Massey Street where he, his older brother Donnie and close friend Roderick Ennis would get into also sorts of mischief. He would eventually unite with St. Peter's Disciple's Church at a young age. Felix's early educational experiences began at Johnston County Training School which later became Johnston Central High School. He later attended Smithfield Selma Senior High School and was a part of the first integrated class of 1971. His closest friends and family always called "Fe" or "Flint." While at Smithfield Selma he excelled in both football and basketball. Felix went on to attend Kittrell College where he met and later married and divorced Shelley Nixon with whom he remained close friends. Felix worked at Fieldcrest Industries, Johnston Memorial and various other places of employment prior to retirement.
While he surely will be missed, Felix leaves a continued legacy of loving family and friends. His loving mother Mrs. Lettie M. Allen. He also leaves two daughters: LaFelicia T. Crawford (Thomas) and LaKishia T. Mack. Five grandchildren: Brittane' George, Tierrea' Allen, Dondre Allen, Trae' Mack and Charles J. Whack, Jr. Two great granddaughters: Eniyaah Wicks and Aliyana Mack. Seven brothers and sisters: Donnie Allen (Jacquelyn), Gloria Allen-Hall (Bradford), Cynthia Allen, Cornell Allen, Vanessa Allen, Eric Allen, Reggie Allen and a lifelong friend Roderick Ennis. He was also preceded in death by his sister Sandra Chappelle.
Felix, although you are gone, you will never be forgotten by all of your family, friends, and loved ones.
