Mr. Filmor Steverson of 911 West Oak St. Selma NC passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh NC.
Filmor was born February 23, 1925 in Allentown, PA to Mary Ellen and William Steverson.
He joined the army in 1947, and later served in the Air Force until he received an honorable discharged in 1952.
He married Rosalie C. Wilson in October, 1952.
He leaves to cherish his memories;three children, Leroy William Steverson (deceased), Marie Ellen Steverson, and Karen Steverson Norwood; Six grandchildren Bryan Rone, JaLaeh Steverson Singer, Brandon G. Norwood, Marques A. Norwood, Tamarra Steverson, and Katrina Steverson; Six great grandchildren Noah Singer, Jonah Singer, Lillian Singer, Destiny Rone, Promise Rone, and Malakei Steverson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday May, 21, 2011 at 2Pm at St. Ann Catholic Church in Smithfield NC.
