Foncy Kay Bennett, 63, of Smithfield NC passed away on July 27, 2019 at Highsmith-Rainey Specialty Hospital in Fayetteville, NC.
Foncy was born in Charleston, WV on February 18, 1956. He graduated from Meadow Bridge High School in Meadow Bridge, WV. Fonz enlisted in the US Navy upon graduation and served Four years aboard the USS Independence CV-62 as an Operation Specialist. Fonz was a Vietnam Era Veteran with an Honorable Discharge. Fonz then worked for a defense contractor developing the Tomahawk Cruise Missile System for Twelve years.
Fonz then went to work for Duron Paints as an assistant manager in the Centerville Va store. he transferred to the Raliegh NC store in January 2006.
he then transferred to the Smithfield NC store where he was assistant manager until he retired in 2013. Fonz was widowed in 2002. Fonz is survived by Two sons; Rex Christopher Hamerick of Lewisburg WV and Foncy Brandon Bennett of Smithfield NC Fonz also had Five Grandchildren and Three Great Grand Children.
Fonz is also survived by two brothers Clayton Eugene Bennett and his identical twin brother Lawrence Renay Bennett of Smithfield NC.
