Upon the call of his Savior, Frederick Vinson finished his course on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at his home.
Frederick, affectionally known as "Freddie," was born on December 14, 1932 in Wilson Mills, NC. He was the son of the late William F. And Victoria Whitley Vinson.
Frederick attended Johnston County Training School. He enlisted in the US Army on March 16, 1953 and was honorably discharged. Frederick was employed as a skilled worker for many years.
Frederick was preceded in death by one sister, Gertrude Woodhouse, and two brothers, William Vinson, Jr. and Cleveland Vinson.
Frederick leaves to cherish his memories: one daughter, Bernadette James (Ronald); one granddaughter, Monica Lancit (Rashim); one great granddaughter, Mikel Lancit; one great grandson, Rashim Lancit, II, all of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; one sister, Joan Harris of Wilson Mills, NC; three nieces, Gloria Stancil (Ronald) of Selma, NC, Vickie Harris of Wilson Mills, NC, and Wanda Vinson of Smithfield, NC; two nephews, Tom Woodhouse (Linda) of Clayton, NC and Kenneth Woodhouse of Smithfield, NC and a host of great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends.
