George Nelson Raynor

May 2, 1928 — August 14, 2016

The Measure of A Great Man:

He that have the son have life. The life of the son is Love, is goodness is spirit of
kindness and gentleness.
We have lost our king who loved us beyond comprehension
and made our lives richer for it. He sacrificed much for us to have a
choice only requiring that we lived a good life.
On August 14, 2016, Mr. George Nelson Raynor was
chosen to reign with the Heavenly host. We are honored to have
shared in his life and be a recipient of his love and kindness.
Mr. George Nelson Raynor was born on May 2, 1928 in
Wake County to Fred and Ida Raynor. He was preceded in death by
his sister, Estelle. He joined Springhill Church at an early age.
Upon moving to Johnston County, he was employed with
Collins, Inc., for over 30 years and a farmer, before starting a
landscaping business. He loved harvesting, watching seeds grow
and the transformation of scenery.
He met his "Honey," Mable, and they were married on
October 13, 1948. He was a devoted family man and provider and
protector. For the past three years, his health had began to decline
and on August 14, 2016, the Lord of Mercy, chose to give him a
"New Beginning," in the Heavens above.
In addition to his parents and sister, Mr. George Nelson
Raynor was also preceded in death by five children: Nellie,
Ernestine, Jean, Freddie and Claude.
He is survived by his loving wife of sixty-eight years,
Mable; three daughters: Carolyn, Debra and Georgia; he was a
father to his grandchildren, Cedric and Ariel; six granddaughters;
five great granddaughters; nine grandsons; twelve great grandsons;
four great granddaughters; one great great granddaughter; three great
great grandsons; one daughter-in-law; one sister-in-law; three sonsin-
law and a host of other relatives and friends.

"Everlasting Blessings"
You won't need the light of the sun or the moon; I, the Lord your
God, will be your eternal light and bring you honor. Your sun will
never set or your moon go down. I, the Lord will be your
everlasting Light and your days of sorrow will come to an end.
Your people will live right and always own the land, they are the
trees I planted to bring praise to me. Isaiah 60:19-21
