Gertrude Brown 86, of 5675 Little Creek Church Road, Clayton NC died on February 06, 2010 at Cary Health and Rehab in Cary NC.
She was the daughter of the late Claude Banks and LaRilla Smith banks. She was preceded in death by four sisters; Claudia Banks, Mildred Barnes, Mabel Banks, and Pearline Tomlinson. She was married to the late Eljay Brown.
She leaves to cherish her memories: two daughters; Angie Dixon of Clayton and Beverly Brown of Raleigh: one special daughter; Mary Ardovino:two sons; Dean Smith(Minnie) of Fuquay-Varina and Bishop Robert Banks(Lisa) of Columbia SC:one sister; Doris Butts(Lester) of New York, nine grandchildren, two step-granddaughters, eight great grandchildren, and a hoist of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Final services will take place on Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at 1pm at New Trinity Missionary Baptist Church in Clayton, NC. Burial will take place at Forest Hills Cemetery in Clayton, NC following the Funeral. A walk through visitation will take place on Tuesday, February 9, 2010 from 3pm until 8pm at the Funeral Home.
