Mrs. Jennifer Marie Sutton was born February 11, 1962 in Johnston County to the late Mr. Johnnie L. Allen and Mrs. Thelma Lee Allen. She departed this life on July 21, 2013, in Smithfield, NC, surrounded by her family.
Jennifer received her education in Johnston County Schools and graduated from Johnston Community College in 1993. She also graduated from Tidewater Nursing School in Norfolk, VA in 2003.
Jennifer was preceded in death by one brother, Wilbert Lee Allen and one sister ReLois W. Jackson. She was married to Staff Sergeant Kevin Sutton on March 17, 2006. She leaves to cherish her loving memories, with her husband Kevin Sutton, her children, Juan Allen (Amy) of Cary, NC, Derral Whatley and Tiffany Whatley of Goldsboro, NC; six grandchildren, DeJuan Whatley, Shiya Whitted, Danajah Freeman, Ke'Aaizah Whatley, Kamauryon and Jah'yale Faison; two brothers, Rev. Johnnie Allen (JoAnn) of Spring Lake, NC and Thomas Allen of Augusta, GA; four sisters, Shirley A. Walker, Bertha Allen of Smithfield, NC, Luzetta Vaughn (Ivey) of Goldsboro, NC, Minister Thelma J. Williams (Rev. Lucky) of Selma, NC; one brother-in-law Willie Jackson of Selma, NC, mother-in-law Betty Sutton of Kinston, NC; three sister-in-laws, Gwendolyn Allen of Charlotte, NC, Wanda Sutton of Raleigh, NC, Cathy Sutton of Memphis TN; a long time speicial friend Belinda White (Ronald) of Selma, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services for Mrs. Jennifer Allen Sutton will be held on Friday, July 26, 2013 at Giles Chapel FWB in Pine Level, North Carolina at 11:00 am.
Jennifer received her education in Johnston County Schools and graduated from Johnston Community College in 1993. She also graduated from Tidewater Nursing School in Norfolk, VA in 2003.
