Jesse Floyd Hall peacefully returned to his heavenly home on February 25, 2023. His love for his family and his belief in God provided comfort as he transitioned from this world in peace.
Jesse was born on May 20, 1938, in Wake County, NC to William Aaron Hall and Magoline Richardson Hall. He was preceded in death by his parents: his brothers Curtis Hall and William Hall and his sister Annie Hall.
Jesse’s educational career began in Wake County, NC. After some time, Jesse began forming his career path. He became a skillful farmer for several years. In the early 1950s, Jesse worked at Watson Seafood and Poultry until the company closed. During his tenure at Watson Seafood, Jesse met the love of his life (Lucinda Badgett Hall). Soon after the closing, Jesse worked in a variety of capacities including being a manager with the NC Department of Agriculture: Central Crops Research Station for over twenty years; until he retired.
Jesse enjoyed being in nature. He was skilled in planting and growing various crops. Hunting was another one of his favorite pastimes. Jesse was also skilled in understanding the inner workings of all makes and models of cars. He had an extensive collection of cars that he worked on over time. Throughout his life, Jesse was a problem solver. If a seemingly impossible task was presented, he would work a while and then pause for a moment. Finally, he would return to complete the arduous task. At times, he would consult manuals to find alternative solutions. His determination and perseverance were like no other. It was these traits that formed his impeccable character, which allowed him to be successful throughout his life. With all the roles that he acquired, being the leader in his family was a role which he valued greatly.
Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife, Lucinda Hall of the home, daughter Shawndra Hall of Clayton, and brothers James Hall (Eula) and Charlie Hall (Tonya). Jesse also leaves two grandchildren Angelica (Andrew) and Camden and one great-granddaughter (Aleia). He also leaves two sister-in-laws Helena and Linda (Moses) and one brother-in-law Lendsey (Sandra). In addition, he shared his life with special family friends Maurice Adams and Faye Weldon and a host of other relatives and friends.
