Obituary
Kenneth Earl Hagans was born to the late Ammie Edward and Blonnie Williams Hagans on August 17,1953 in Wayne County, North Carolina. He departed this life on January 27, 2021.

Kenneth graduated from Smithfield Selma High School in Smithfield, NC. Class of 1975. He worked for the State of North Carolina & Fieldcrest for over 10 years. Kenneth worked as a custodian for Johnston County Public School System, until his retirement after 17 years of service.

Kenneth was a very social and outspoken person; he never met a stranger. He loved his family. He enjoyed fishing, playing basketball, playing cards, joking, dancing, listening to music, watching Westerns and attending family gatherings. He was a member of Wesley Chapel A.M.E. Church.

Kenneth leaves to cherish his memories; his high school sweetheart and wife of 45 years Jean Mae Hagans of the home. His children, daughter Angelica (Ronald) of Smithfield, NC. Son Kenneth (Michelle) of Clayton, NC. Son George (Shawn) of Smithfield, NC. Grandchildren; Keeyona, Monisha, Rome and Imani. Seven great grandchildren (two deceased); sisters: Sallie of Clayton, NC. Dessie of Selma, NC. Sister-in-laws: Bert of Selma, NC. Ruby (Thurman) of Selma, NC. Lucy (Rickey) of Raleigh, NC, and Rosa of Raleigh, NC. Brother-in-laws: Bill (Harriet) of Greensboro, NC. Decorris of Selma, NC, and Jimmy of Clayton, NC. Preceded in death by his siblings Earl, Belle, Daisy and Albert. A host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
