Larry Douglas Banks was born on July 10, 1948 to Willie 'Babe' Banks and Velma Redmond. He moved to his new home, Heaven, on February 4, 2022. He is now reunited with the love of his life, Felicia Banks. He is also reunited with his mother and father, his sister Geraldine, his brothers Ronnie Earl, Michael, Jimmy, Bernard, June, and Donald along with other loving relatives and good friend Roosevelt 'MoBee' Scarboro. Larry Poppa was known throughout his community for being the prime example of a professional worker. He worked in the construction business for many years and established a reputation amongst his peers as being a smart and hard worker, which he took pride in. However, the thing he was most proud of was his family. If someone asked about his family, he would beam with joy and let them know "I got two boys and two girls" and would sometimes say their names whether people asked or not. Standing proud and tall, he walked into St. James Holiness Church one Sunday and later accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He is now home with GOD his father. Larry Poppa leaves his legacy in the hands of his two daughters, Daphne and LaKeisha; two sons, Shawn and Corey; one granddaughter, Kayla; four grandsons, DeMario, Shawnya', Jaylen, and Carmelo; and two great grandchildren, Nova and Braylen. He also leaves his legacy in the hands of his two beautiful sisters Shirley Richardson and Janice Faye Faison (Terry) and his youngest brother Danny Banks who he truly loved. Larry loved his two sister-in-laws Carolyn Mitchell and Cynthia Joyner (Bonnie) and his three brother-in-laws Demetrius Richardson (Debra), Delroy Richardson (Evelyn) and Anthony Richardson (Renarda) along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and good friend Simon Murchison. Everyday while working construction, he was building his home. Not a home here but a home in Heaven: John 14:2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you
