Laura Mae Harper

Mrs. Laura Mae Harper, age 90, of Red Hill died Saturday, September 24th at Smithfield Manor in Smithfield, NC.


She was the daughter of the late Charlie and Gencie Barfield.
She leaves to cherish her memories; two daughters, Betty Cooley, of Smithfield NC and Mattie Foye, of Clayton NC; four sons, Melvin Harper of Clayton NC, Robert Harper (Ruth) of Wilson's Mills, NC, Willie Harper (Arnetta), of Zebulon, NC, and Jack Harper, of Kenly, NC; 18 Grandchildren, 47 Great-
Grandchildren, 20 Great-Great Grandchildren; a niece, Joyce Harris; a cousin, Lennie Williams; 4 special friends, Bernice Clark, Ann Baines, Magnolia Blackmon, and Freddie Vinson, and a host of other relatives and friends.


Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 30, 2011 at Red Hill United Church of Christ, Clayton, NC. There will be a viewing from 1PM to 2PM and the funeral will begin at 2PM. Interment will follow at Wilson's Mills Cemetery in Wilson's Mills, NC.
