Lenetta Knight Wilson, our beloved mother and grandmother, was born on February 15, 1958, in
Brooklyn, New York. She was the daughter of late Elder Randolph Knight and Elsie Mae Cox. She was
the younger of two daughters. She was raised by her grandmother Lenetta Knight. She received her
education at Smithfield-Selma High School. After leaving high school, she moved to Washington, DC and
married the late Timothy Wilson.
Lenetta who is also known as "Netta" was a loving and devoted mother. She was the mother of three
children. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. As many of you may know, she
was very protective of her family. She enjoyed listening to music, love to laugh, and have fun. She had the
most generous, loving heart and touched many lives with her presence.
She is survived by her daughters, Lanita N. Wilson of Washington, DC and Alicia Y. Wilson (Ade) of Fort
Washington, MD; son, Pedro Knight of Raleigh, NC; one sister, Pamela Belton of Chapel Hill, NC; step
mother, Beatrice Knight of Pikeville, NC. Seven aunts: Annie Doris (Nester) Sanders of Goldsboro, NC,

Laster, and Dwight (Chester) Sanders all of Selma, NC; seven grandchildren, one great-grand child; and
a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
