Levester "Loo" Oates, of Dudley,NC formally of Smithfield. Died on Saturday,January 9, 2010 at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh,NC.

Loo was born to Mamie Raynor Oates and the Late James Oates.

Loo is survived by his daughters Tiffani Jonique Oates and Erika Kirton and grandchildren, wife Tajuana Harris Oates of Brooklyn, NY;, his mother Mamie Lee Raynor Oates, Dudley, NC; two brothers James A. Oates, Raleigh, NC, Ennis D. Oates (Edna) Wilmington, NC; three sisters Blondell Oates and Jacqueline Oates, Dudley, NC, Anthinette O. Hines (Anthony), Herndon, VA; M. Elfrieda Moore a niece who grew up in the home as a younger sister, Norman Gene Eason a special nephew and business prot'g';, Aunts, Mary Frances Herring, Rose Hill, NC, Dwendle McLean, Smithfield, NC, Lettie Allen, Smithfield, NC, Geraldine Dodd, Philadelphia, PA, Doris Ludley, Garner, NC; Uncles, Demetrius Raynor (Ludie), Four Oaks, NC, Cleo Raynor (Eloise), Philadelphia, PA; Nathaniel Langston, VA, BCH VA., ; 5 nieces and 4 nephews and 10 great nieces and nephews and one great great niece and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Norma Oates Eason, Ruth Oates Nipper and Mary Jane Oates 'Pop'.

Funeral arrangements will be held on Saturday January 16 at 11AM at the Western Assembly Building in Four Oaks N.C There will be a wake held on Friday January 15, from 6 to 8Pm, with a viewing starting at 5PM, also at the Western Assembly Building.
