Johnston County. She departed this life on Thursday,

Schools and was noted for her skills as a basketball

Mallie was married to the late Orlester Smith for
more than forty years. She was employed by K.R.
Edwards Tobacco Company. At an early age she became a
faithful member of Juniper Grove Disciple Church where
she was an usher for more than fifty years. Throughout
the community, Mallie was known as a quiet caring
person who was willing to help in any way possible. She
