Marcellus Benjamin Perry, son of the late Marcellus and Goldie Perry was born on September 18, 1932, in Vance County, Kittrell, North Carolina. On December 26, 2022, the Almighty God called his name to "Come Home" Marcellus joined Shiloh Baptist Church in Kittrell, North Carolina at an early age. Later in life, he moved to Selma where he started his life over again, he then joined Holy Temple Bible Church where he served as a Deacon and remained faithful until his health started to decline. While Marcellus did not have an educated background, he successfully started his own construction business, proving cement was the love of his life. Along with his parents, he was proceeded in death by four brothers; James (AJ) Perry, Willie Perry, John (Thomas) Perry, Eugene Perry; sisters, Joyce Perry and Mary Perry; and one son, Mark Perry. He leaves to cherish his memories nine children; Louise Perry of Selma, NC, Peggy Perry of Baltimore, MD, Mellary Dumbar of Fayetteville, NC, Claretha Perry of Atlanta, GA, and Shakeeta Perry of Angie, NC, Benjamin Perry (Libby) of Selma, NC, Tyron Perry of Raleigh, NC, Bobbie Perry (Lashawna) of Pine Level, NC, and Marcellus Perry of Selma, NC. Four sisters; Madge Howard of Oxford, NC, Alice Scott of Franklinton, NC, Hazel Waverly(Willie) of Henderson, NC, and Thelma Acevedo of Raleigh, NC. Marcellus also leaves behind twenty grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and a host of nieces and nephews. Marcellus Benjamin Perry will be missed dearly.
