Marjorie Ann Jiles was born June 18, 1951 to the late Alexander Thorpe and Marie Harris. She departed this earthly life on February 20, 2023 at UNC Rex Hospital in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Marjorie attended Wake County Public Schools and graduated from Rutledge College with a degree in Data Entry. She joined Love Christian Center under the leadership of Pastor and now Bishop Arnelle Dunn. She attended as much as she could until her health declined. Marjorie was a true definition of a missionary. She fed the community and provided shelter to the helpless. She loved her family and her friends. She really enjoyed cooking and having everyone visit in her home for a sumptuous meal. In her earlier years, she loved to fish.
Marjorie is proceeded in death by her parents, Alexander Thorpe and Marie Harris, her sister,
Brenda Jones and her brothers, Ricky Thorpe and Ronald (Duck) Thorpe.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her husband, Samuel Jiles of Raleigh, NC; six children, Jameshia Cooper (Albert) of Knightdale, NC, Cheryl Grabowski of Knightdale, NC, Tracy Ruffin of Raleigh, NC, George Ruffin((Tiffany) of Angier, NC, Shawn Ruffin (Trumeka) of Raleigh, NC, Andre Ruffin of Raleigh, NC, 21 grandchildren and 21 great grand children; her brothers, Michael Harris of Raleigh, NC, George Harris, Jr (Janice) of Raleigh, NC, Nelson Harris (Betty) of Raleigh, NC; her sisters, Lelia Harris (James) of Raleigh, NC, Linda Faye Gibson of Raleigh, NC, Shirley Silver (Tony) of Raleigh, NC and Sharon Boyaka of NC; She also leaves a host of nieces nephews, other relatives and special friends, Peggy Watson of Raleigh, NC, Tyrone Quiller of Raleigh, NC and Mildred Ann Banks of Raleigh, NC.
Marjorie will be missed by her family and friends. She was deeply loved by all.
