Obituary Marjory Ann Waite

Marjory Ann (Filby) Waite aged 81, passed away on November 25, 2024. 

Marjory was born on December 18, 1942 in Shadyside Ohio to Allen and 

Gertrude Filby. 

After graduating from Blodgett School of Nursing in Grand Rapids MI, she 

entered the army as a First Lieutenant during the Viet Nam era. Marjory 

worked as a Medical Librarian at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill  

Hill. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and reading 

She is survived by her daughter Jerilyn Waite, sisters Janet Lenger 

(Donald), Suzanne Clark (Leland), Sister-in-law Chris Filby and preceded in 

death by her husband Joe Waite and brother William Filby.
