Life’s Story of Marvin Earl Bennett
Marvin Earl Bennett was born on May 9, 1961 to the late Henry Bennett and Gertrude Price Bennett. He departed this earthly life on January 12, 2024 at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield, NC.
Marvin graduated high school in Richmond, VA and pursued a degree in Culinary Arts. He was an entrepreneur for many of years and was very dedicated to his craft. During his free time, Marvin loved fishing and cooking delicious meals for his family and friends. Marvin embraced life fully and he truly believed in helping others.
Marvin is preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Annie Richardson and his grandson, Noah Lyon, who died on January 10, 2024.
Marvin leaves to cherish his memories: his sons, Joshua Romone Bennett and Michael De Shawn Lyons; his grandchildren, Nala Lyons and Jahnai Anderson; four brothers, Robert Bennett (Annette) of Fredericksburg, VA; Brian Taylor (Carolynette) of Richmond, VA; Andy Pittman (Teo) of Jacksonville, NC and William Johnson of Georgia; four sisters, Eller Williams of Wilson Mills , NC; Linda Baker (Larry) of Angier, NC, Ann Spells of Richmond , VA, Sarah Noonkester of Tampa, Fl and Antoinette Randolph of Richmond , VA and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. He leaves a special friend, Jessie Sanders.
