Maurice attendend Smithfield-Selma High School where he was a member of JROTC Airforce. Maurice was a loving son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He would always greet you with a smile and laugh. He was outstanding, out going, loving, funny and a well liked person. He got the special name Blue- Jay from his great-grandfather the late Matthew Hinton.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather Louis Vinson.
He leaves precious memories with his mother Mother Allison (James) Brantley of Raleigh, NC, his father Maurice Davies, Sr., of Clayton, NC; three brothers, Jared Clemmons of Clayton, NC, Travis Davis of Raleigh, NC and Kevin (Natasha) Davis; one niece Ava Davis, a special cousin Tiajuana Brantley; his grandmother Maxine (Edward) Hood and Grandmother Annie Davis, nine aunts, four uncles and five great aunts, two great uncles; lifelong friends, Monet Marville, Jermaine Whitaker, Theo Godwin, Fugi Johnson, Derrick Mckoy, Jon Jon Craddock, Michael Wright and Lloyd Finch. A host of cousins and friends.
