Michael James Acklin

Michael James Acklin, age 24, of Clayton, NC passed away suddenly last month in his childhood home. He was a graduate of Johnston Community College Adult Continuing Education Program. Michael was known to be the clown of the family, yet very serious. Michael found his calling at an early age, playing drums. He found peace and happiness in the sounds of drumming. He played for multiple churches and groups across NC.
Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Tracy Acklin-Dunston, Grandmother, Nancy R. Lee, brother Messiah Acklin and daughter Alexandria Marie Acklin. He leaves to mourn, his father Anthony Tyrone Acklin (Christy) of Grifton, NC. 3 Brothers, Otis Allen (Joyce) of Kinston NC; Tyshon Forbes of New York, and Jaylen Acklin of Grifton, NC. 1 sister, Alexandria Acklin of Raleigh NC. 7 nieces and nephews: a host of Uncles, Aunts, Cousins, and Friends
