Obituary Michael Barnes (Copperhead) joined New Hill Baptist Church at an early age. He graduated from S.S.S. High School and after graduation he joined the Job Corps. While he was in there for 2 years, he was training to be a firefighter. He got sick while there and was discharged on a medical leave. He leaves to cherish his memories a daughter Kea-Shonda; his loving wife Mary Barnes; his mother Carolyn Davis; his loving grandmother Cora Sneed all of Selma. Three brothers Reggie Barnes (Terrie) of Richmond, VA; Tony Barnes of Atlanta, GA; Shawntez Geddie of Selma, NC and Darell Sanders (Rena) of Delaware. Two sisters Beneta Faison of Fayetteville, NC and Wanda Walker of Philadelphia, PA. Four uncles Amos Barnes of Richmond, VA; Bobby Sneed of Selma, NC; Eddie Smith (Linda)of Fuquay-Varina, NC and John Claude of Smithfield, NC. His dearest Aunts Ann Curtis of Smithfield, NC and Aunt Ida of Selma, NC. Several nieces and nephews, cousins Vanessa & Kim Curtis with whom he was raised up and his wonderful little cousin Jordan who always called him "Copperhead." A number of friends & associates as well as his brothers and sisters-in-law. The Lord saw Mike was suffering. He had been in pain for quite some time. The Lord sent his angel down to comfort
