Sunrise, June 30, 1943, for Mildred (Del) Carpenter Watson; sunset December 7, 2022. She was the fourth child born to the late Orice and Mozelle Carpenter. She lived most of her adult life in Fayetteville. Del was and always will be mom, grandma, sugar mommy, and all other niceties her children and grandchildren placed on her. She was a go-to for advice and a happy conversation person for many of her nieces and nephews. She was educated in the Johnston County school system (Richard B. Harrison). She was in fellowship with The Powerhouse of Prayer Church family. Del lived and loved life on her terms. She bore the loss of her two eldest children, Floyd and Dwight, which hurt her deeply. She is survived by the love of her life, Francine (William) Graham, Ricky (Sherry) Watson; Darlene (Alvin) Chestnut; Lewis (Angela) Watson, and Michael Watson. Grandchildren (14) Tionna, Ebony (Jeremy), Dionna, Jamel, Jalisa, Jasmine (Clifford), Shaquanna, Shaquita (Tyrone), Brittany, Jawan (Lashanta), Richard, Iyanna, Ojoree, Ezra. Great grandchildren (17) Tiara, Success, Amari, Tykel, Sincere, Jaquan, Dwight, Joshua, Jeremy, Javion, Shamar, Jakhia, Janay, Dontez, Grayson, Serenty, Aulani, and a great grand â Charm; sisters, Genevieve (Obie Lee) Watson and Yvonne Joyner. Brothers Otis (Barbara) Carpenter and William (Yvonne) Carpenter. In-laws â Chandra McNeill, Francine Chance, Carnel Smith, Jean Carpenter, Bobby Watson, Sr., Earnest (Sadie) Watson, Douglas (Brenda) Watson, Maxine Ramos, Moses Lee, and Lewis Watson.
