Montez Antone Johnson

August 10, 1975 — May 20, 2018

Montez A. Johnson, born August 10, 1975 in Smithfield NC to the late JamesOtis Johnson and Emma Williams Johnson. As a military dependent, he received his early formal education through the Cumberland County School systems, beginning with Rockfish Elementary School relocating to South Bend IN, where he attended Edison Middle School and Adams High School. He later completed his education at South View High School in Hope Mills, North Carolina. On March 2001, he received his Commercial Drivers Licenses (CDL) where he began a career as a professional driver. Later on he received additional certifications in Heating & Air where he used his many skills to help so many people. Montez A. Johnson and Billie Jo had two beautiful children, Hallie Grace Johnson and Emma Elizabeth Johnson. He always instilled in his girls that there is nobody better than YOU. "Be Smart" he would say and the importance of seeking truth. As there dad would say " You The Greatest".Tez was loved by so many due to his giving spirit. His many works in and around the community were a testament to what he valued most of all. Many of you know his love for sports. Our brother was a sport fanatic. Tez was a diehard 4 time Super Bowl NY Giants fan, 8 time Notre Dame Football Fighting Irish & 6 time North Carolina Tarheel fan " Go Heels". In addition, for anyone that struggles with this debate, lets set the record straight. Michael Jordan will always be the G.O.A.T. Tez enjoyed testing his whit's, growing up with games of chess, daily games of Jeopardy where he won quiet often and many trivial pursuits. Yamaha R-1 to keep it simple, Tez loved to ride just like his Dad (JJ). He confessed his faith in Christ on October 16th, 2010. He became a member on April 3rd, 2011 and was baptized on April 24th, 2011 at Smith Chapel Original Free Will Baptist Church.Proceeding in death, His Father SGM James Otis Johnson, grandparents, Deacon Edgar & Mother Ada Williams, Mr. Tom Williams; Mrs. Goldie Johnson and his Aunt Elder Dorothy Watson. Left to cherish his memories his Daughters, Hallie & Emma Johnson; and the Mother of his children, Billie Jo, his "Ma" (Mother Emma Johnson), Brothers; Marcellous "Boot Jiggity" Johnson (April) Marcus "Porkchop" Johnson (Courtney). His special niece (Laticia "Tishie Baby" (Ibn), Lakeshia and Tootie and youngest niece Ava J!!. His nephews James Robert "J Jiggity Jr.", Xavier Johnson & Ezekiel Johnson. Great-nieces Mya "Google" and Makenzie "Bing" Wallace, Aunts, Unclescousins, relatives and friends. (LNO) LIKE NO OTHER!!
