Randy James Stimage ("Q") was born on October 22, 1968, in Vicksburg, Mississippi to the late Freddie B. Sims Stimage and Tommie Lee Stimage. He quietly departed this life on August 4, 2020, at Duke Hospital in Durham, NC.
Randy lived in East Orange, NJ until 2005. He followed his pride and joy Father, Tommie Stimage, to Smithfield, NC where he lived his formative years. He attended East Orange Campus High School in East Orange, NJ. Randy was preceded in death by his Mother, Freddie B. Sims Stimage.
Randy leaves to cherish his memory: his father, Tommie Lee Stimage (Joyce) of Smithfield, NC; his stepmother, Mary Hargrove Stimage of East Orange, NJ; his siblings, Sam Sims of Brooklyn, NY, Kennedy Stimage of Patterson, NJ, Vanessa Stimage Holley of East Orange, NJ, Robert Morris of Vicksburg, MS, Tracey Stimage of East Orange, NJ, Kimberly Stimage Blair (Bill) of East Orange, NJ, Tawanda Stimage of Statesboro, GA, Marilyn Stimage of Statesboro, GA, and Alexandria Admed Robinson of Jacksonville, FL; adopted sister, friend, and caregiver, Evon Teresa Hinton; four aunts, Lisa Willis of Vicksburg, MS; Della Willis Brown of Vicksburg, MS, Inez Woodfork (Freddie) of Natchez, MS, and Mary L. Sims of Snow Hill, NC; two uncles, Joe Henry Willis and Billy Ray Willis; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Randy James Stimage was a character. Tommie Stimage was the "apple of his eye." Randy always talked and bragged about "My Dad." He was a generous person with a big heart. He was an organ donor giving someone else a second chance. Randy had a takeover spirit. If you did not love Randy, you did not know him. He would nag his way into your heart. He was super jealous of his Dad. Randy would always say to Evon, "Gotta call my Dad." She would reply, "Our Dad." The fuss was on. I can say Randy truly loved his Father. "He was so much like him in many ways," as he would say and it was true. Hope, thanks for being here in his life. You are the best.
