Mr. Raniel Douglas Williams was born July 11, 1981, in Johnston County to Mr. Michael Anthony Williams and Mrs. Emma Jean Watson. He transitioned from this life on Saturday, September 21, 2019.

Raniel was reared in Johnston County and received his education in the Johnston County school system; graduating from Smithfield-Selma High School. After graduation, he was employed at several companies including Caterpillar in Clayton, NC for 9 years. And most currently he was employed with Grifols, Inc. in Clayton, NC as a plasma operator.

Raniel was a fun-loving people person who loved everyone, especially his family. He never met a stranger and would do anything for you.

His hobbies and interests centered around his love for sports; especially football, basketball, and baseball. His favorite teams were the Carolina Panthers, the North Carolina Tarheels, the Chicago Bulls and the New York Yankees. He was a true and devoted fan to the teams he loved.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Russell, and Irene Williams; his maternal grandparents, Bishop Luther and Mrs. Sadie Barbour; and one uncle, Mr. William Douglas Barbour.

Raniel, along with his brother, was the apple of his mother's eye and will be dearly missed. He leaves cherished memories to his mother and step-father, Mrs. Emma Jean Watson and Mr. Bennie Watson of Selma, NC; his father, Mr. Michael Anthony Williams of Orlando, FL; two brothers, Mr. Vance DeCarris Williams of Greensboro, NC and Mr. Terrance Williams of Princeton, NC; one sister, Ms. Chiyanna Shantice Young of Greensboro, NC; three uncles, Mr. Luther Barbour (Sue) of Kenly, NC, Mr. Bennie Barbour (Linda) and Pastor Andrew Barbour (Christine) both of Smithfield, NC; five aunts, Miss Carrie Williams of Kannapolis, NC, Mrs. Glenda Lopez (Tito) of Orlando, FL, Miss Russell Jean Williams and Miss Edith Williams both of Fayetteville, NC, and Mrs. Lorie Anderson (Michael) of Kannapolis, NC; three great aunts, Ms. Andoris Lucas and Miss Bettie Rountree both of Wilson, NC and Ms. Marie Barbour of Smithfield, NC; dear friends, Mr. Maurice Hinton and his supervisor, Mr. James Everette; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends; and one mentee whom he mentored and was very special to him, Mr. Jermaine Carmichael.
