Mrs. Rena Bell Sanders, 81, of Smithfield died on Sunday, July 07, 2014 at her home in Smithfield, NC
Rena Bell Sanders was granted her angel wings on July 6, 2014. Her final days were spent doing what she loved, surrounded by family. Rena was born on May 1, 1933 to the late Haywood Hagins and the late Mabel Johnson in Pikeville, NC. She attended Cooper High School in Clayton, NC. Later she moved to Raleigh and started a family. From there to Brooklyn, NY she lived there for forty years. She worked the same job for 30 years.
She lived with a loving family Virginia and her son Johnny Morris whom she considered her son until her health failed and she moved to Smithfield, NC. Rena was a avid sports fan, she loved to fishing, traveling on cruises and to Charlotte to see the Panthers.
She was preceded in death by her Joecephus Hinton, Jr., Jimmy N. Sanders, two daughters Phyllis Hinton and Thersa Hinton and three brothers; Haywood, Archie and Larry.
She leaves precious memories with her two daughters Marva Hinton (Roy) of Smithfield, NC; Bridgette (Joseph) of Winston Salem; seven granddaughters; Tamika Hinton, Lakisha Morgan, Michelle Hinton, Anita Sanders all of Raleigh, Pamela Page, Nikkis Sanders of Knightdale, NC and Catina Finh of Garner, NC, one grandson Joseph Hinton of Raleigh; two brothers: Bobby Hagins (Pat) of Raleigh, NC, Ira S. Hagins (Deborah) of Garner, NC; four sisters Jean Jeffiries (Lonnie), Louise McKnight (Harold), Sadie Smith all of Raleigh, Peggy A. Hagins of Smithfield; two aunts: Annabelle Watson of Clayton, NC, and Mamie Mitchell of Washington, DC, 16 great grandchildren, a special nephew and his wife Anthony Hagins for all the love and support a host of cousins and friends. We loved Rena and Rena loved us but God loved her best.
