Mr.Sam V. Richardson 69, of 104 Pricket Ln Clayton,NC died on Monday, November 16,2009 at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh NC.

SAM VICK RICHARDSON JR. was born January 24 1940, to the late Sam Vick Sr. and Pattie Ann Richardson in Johnson County, North Carolina.

Sam was educated in the public schools of Selma, North Carolina where he graduated from Richard B. Harrison. Sam worked for the Department of Transportation Road Maintenance Division for twenty five years until his retirement in January 2004.

Sam was married to Keama Eason on June 24, 1995, and together they had a combined family of seven children.

Sam loved getting up early on Saturday mornings and going to flea markets and yard sales. He loved collecting miniature antique cars and listening to his cb radio. Sam loved meeting people and he loved to dance. His favorite place was sitting in his barn listening to his music and relaxing in his chair. Sam was truly loved by his grandchildren.

Sam departed this life on Monday, November 16, 2009. He leaves to mourn his memory seven children: Deacon Sammy Davis (Lisa), Selma, NC, Ambrose Banks, Raleigh, NC, Falesha Banks, Goldsboro, NC, Tuwanda Richardson, Princeton, NC, Drill Sgt. Sam V. Richardson III (Catherine), Fort Leonard Wood, MO, Shanay Eason, Fayetteville, NC and Brandon, Eason, Clayton, NC. Four brothers, Sandy (Michelle) Richardson, Smithfield, NC, Wilbert Richardson, Macon, GA, Johnny Lassiter, Smithfield, NC, Edmund Lassiter, MD, three sisters, Annie Richardson, Smithfield, NC, Florence (Clifton) Smith, Kansas City, MO. and Alphia Jane Brown, Goldsboro, NC. Twenty-four grand children, three great grand children and a host of other relatives and friends.

Sam will be laid to rest at Maplewood Cemetery, Clayton, NC.
