Samuel Harris of 119 Sam Lane, Wilson's Mills. Died on Monday, August 17, 2009 at his residence.
Harris was born May 27th 1938. he attended the Johnston County Training School. Samuel retired from the NC Department of Transportation.
Samuel Harris, the Obedient Servant:
At an early age, he joined First Missionary Baptist Church(wilson's Mills) and worked faithfully in many capacities and was ordained as a deacon.
Samuel Harris the Beloved Husband:

Partner and friend we fulfilled our vows until death, there are many countless moments that will always be cherished. You gave your heart, you gave your all. Helping others (through God) you gave until your last breath. In the eternal garden, you can now rest, for Christ only picks the best. (Your Wife)
Samuel Harris, the Devoted Father:
No one enjoyed your home cooked meals as your wife, \
children and grandchildren. Who can forget your rising early to prepare those wonderful Sunday dinners. Lamentations 3:22-23 declares 'his compassion fail not. They are new every morning; great is thy faithfulness.' We thank God for your gift of boundless energy, you're principle of industriousness, and your joy in do it.
Samuel Harris, the Grandfather:
He loved his grandchildren sowed seeds of wisdom into many lives. He showed us love, we will always remember his love and will vow to pass it on from generation to come.

He was a loving brother and friend. He was always there to show us his love and how much he cares.
Samuel Harris, the Uncle:
He was generous and unselfish. He took time out to listen or to help in anyway he could. To some he was just an uncle but to us he was a dad.
Samuel Harris the Civic Leader:
In 2006 he was named Distinguished Citizen Award. He was a volunteer fireman for 20 years. Also a member of Rough Ashley Lodge # 52,a member of men on a mission of Wilson's Mills. He was such a model citizen that they named a street in his honor, which he resided on, 'Sam Lane.' Samuel Harris, The Faithful Friend 'Sam', a man you could depend on. A friend.

A wake will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2009 from 7pm till 9pm at First Missionary Baptist church in Wilson's Mills.Funeral will be held on Friday, August 21,2009 at Noon. Burial will follow at Wilson's Mills Community Cemetery.
