Mrs. Sarah Bell Hamilton was the second child born to the Late James "June" Bell and Rosie Lee Johnson in Johnston County, North Carolina on July 14, 1943. She made her transition into eternal life on Thursday, August 8, 2013 at Duke Raleigh Hospital.
She attended Forest Hill High School in Johnston County. On July 7, 1989, she married James "Hamp" Hamilton of Johnston County, North Carolina. During her career in the Food Service Industry, she held positions at Johnston Memorial Hospital and Holt Lake Bar-B-Que and Seafood.
With 24 years of marriage to Hamp, Sarah truly displayed commitment, dedication, and unconditional love to her family, church (St. Mark African Methodist Episcopal), community, and social committees (Eastern Stars, Johnston County Scholarship Club, and American Legion Auxiliary Post 270). She would always greet you with a "Well Hello Love" because that was what she always tried to give in the best way she knew how was Love. Sarah would tell you to always be yourself first Love JC [as she so lovingly referred to as Jesus Christ], second, Love yourself, and third, Love others. If you were hungry, you could always come to her door and she would feed you. When asked by her son one day why she was always trying to feed folks that would come by she simply replied , "You never know when Jesus Christ will come to Knock on our door."
Sarah was preceded in death by a brother, James Bell Jr. Smithfield, North Carolina; a sister, Dorothy J Bell of Atlantic City, New Jersey, two sons: Larry (Veronica) Nichols of Smithfield, North Carolina and Michael Nichols of Smithfield, North Carolina.
