On September 29, 2019, Sonja Antonio Neal is also known as Flattop, completed his assignment on earth and answered God's calling. He was born on September 29, 1960, to the late Timothy A. Neal, Sr. (1969) and Sylvia R. Neal (2018). He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Timothy A. Neal, Jr. and Alvin Neal. At an early age, he joined Sylvia Chapel Baptist Church. He attended Smithfield-Selma Senior High School and graduated in 1980. He worked as a skilled Tradesman on many jobs throughout the years until his health declined. Flattop lived his life to the fullest and cherished every special moment. He would help you even if it were his last. One of his joys of life was spending time with his family and friends and sharing his masterful skills of cooking on the grill. He leaves to cherish his memories: Brenda H. Neal (Wife) of the home; his children, Antonio Neal Jr. /Flat Jr. (Kimmi) of Greensboro, NC, Gregory Neal, and Tarsha Neal of Clayton, NC; two stepsons, Demont Hood (LaVonna) of Powder Springs, GA, and Latrell Hood (Latoya) of Clayton, NC; his grandchildren, Antonio Eherts, Kye Neal, Montia Hood, Montayo Hood, Samantha Hood, and Senya' Hood.; his sisters, Teresa Neal Hinton (Albert) of Fayetteville, NC and Regina Neal Benjamin (Vernal) of Boynton Beach, FL; sister-in-law, Sophirene Hinton of Clayton, NC; two brother-in-laws, Willie Earl Mitchner (Ann) of Clayton, NC and Robert Perris of Princeton, NC; two great aunts, Grace Gaddis and Peggy Baker; three special friends, Henry Grimes, Danny Robinson, and Jeff Oates; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many many friends.
