Sylvia Pierce Chikhi

Sylvia Chikhi was born on February 27th, 1963 to the late Clinton Pierce and Minnie B. Ports Pierce. She was born in Bethesda, MD. She has since rejoined with her mother in Heaven on July 22nd, 2020. Sylvia attended North Johnston High School in Kenly, North Carolina, and graduated in 1982. Since then she has helped her surrounding community in many ways. In her 20's, she owned a small store in Wilson called, "Chikhi's store". She then went on to become a CNA and help those in need for the rest of her days. She was a selfless, caring mother of two and never stopped caring for her sons. She was an incredibly supportive friend, helping those who couldn't help themselves. One person who she helped was her mother, taking care of her until she passed away in 2019. In 2017, Sylvia felt the tugging of Christ on her heart, and on May 12th, 2017, gave her life to the Lord. One thing that she loved doing in the morning and in her free time would be taking care of her plants. She loved them like her very own children. She also loved to draw and doodle. Sylvia is survived by her two sons D'Angelo Allen, and Coty Cruz of Wilson, NC whom she has now passed on her strong and loving will to, along with her two sisters and six brothers: Evalena P. Best (Reginald) of Raleigh, NC, Rev. Jacqueline P. Jones (Rev. Christopher) of Raleigh, NC, Isiah Ports (Barbara) of Philadelphia, PA, Deacon Clinton Earl Pierce (Agnes) of Middlesex, NC, Johnnie Hardy Pierce & Sidney Leon Pierce both of Philadelphia, PA, Raymond Lee Pierce of Collingdale, PA and Randy Williams of Raleigh, NC: a host of relatives and friends.
