Sylvia A. Williams

Sylvia A. Williams was born in Middlesex, M.C. on May, 1, 1924 to Sandy and Lenda Williams. She was 93. She departed this life on July 6, 2017.

Sylvia came to Delaware in June of 1948. She worked at several factories for years and retired in 1986 from NCR. After retirement, she became a senior companion and Foster parent to many individuals. She loved to cook and sew.

Sylvia was a member of the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ Apostolic Faith, located in Ellendale, DE since 1959. She was instrumental in starting the Brother's and Sister's Day beginning in 1985 until present.
Sylvia was preceded in death by her son, Daniel Vann. She is also preceded in death by her siblings, James Williams, John R. Williams, Genora Hodge, and Mary Archer, 3 grandsons, Damarris Taylor, Jason and Dwight Vann.

Sylvia leaves to cherish her loving memories, two sons, Leroy Williams of Frankford, DE, Charles T. Vann (Sherry) of Camden, De, Three daughters, A. Rose Hall of Milford, DE; Gloria Vann of Frankford, DE., and Wanda Jones Nickelson (Wesley) of Millville, DE. One brother, Bishop Daniel Williams, Selma, NC, a granddaughter that she raised Tijuana Neely, FA., twenty-one grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. She will be sadly missed.
