Tamika Anita Sanders

December 17, 1974 — January 4, 2019

On Friday, January 4, 2019, God in his infinite spirit and wisdom carried Tamika Anita Sanders to dwell with him in their eternal home of Peace, Love and Tranquility. Tamika was born December 17, 1974 to Archie Sanders and the late Virgie Madgalene Jones Sanders in Smithfield, NC. Tamika was the third child of five children and the only daughter.
Meecie was a 1993 graduate of Smithfield Selma Sr. High in Smithfield, NC. She was also a graduate of Johnston Community College in Smithfield NC where she earned her Associate Degree. Meecie was employed by ARS in Cary NC and also Belks of Smithfield, NC. Meecie was an inspiration to everyone and never met a stranger. She was a loving and giving person just like her beloved late mother, Virgie Madgalene.
Meecie was a loving and caring mother and grandmother. She was a great supporter of her children and the Smithfield-Selma Sr. High School Athletic Department. She traveled with the Football, Basketball, and Track Teams to all away games or meets and made her presence known with her "megaphone" which was in desperate need of repair.
Meecie confessed salvation because she realized the need of a savior in her life. She united with New Generation Church in Smithfield, NC under the leadership of Apostle Addie M. Harris Rawls.
Meecie leaves to cherish her precious memories: father, Archie Sanders; her twins, Malicia Antoinette and Malik Antoine; her sons, Madrik Anquan and Micah Alexander; brothers, Eric, Derrick (Tawana), Zachary (Crystal), Elder Possia (Tekella) Sanders; one grandson, Imari Malik; five nieces, Tyesha, Zoe, Casey, Faith, and Alise; two nephews, Bryce and Caden; two uncles, Lewis Sanders (Jessie) of Compton California and James Sanders Jr. (Dorothy) of Hollandale Mississippi; three aunts, Beatrice Wilkins of Bonton Harbor Michigan, Celestine Evans (Samuel) of Vicksburg Mississippi, and Mittie Bell of Maple Hill NC; Her beloved pose (The Juicy Crew), Anika Watson, Delia Lofton, Leona Knight, LaQuebia Haymond, Tasha Clark, LaShonda Armstead, Mona Ndiaye, and James Watson; and numerous cousins and friends.
